Create a Pinterest page

HOW TO

“Use Pinterest as a major source of inspo”

Btw, you’ll soon all realize how much I LOVVEEEEE Pinterest, and I promise you, once you have it, you will too. This How-To is for those of you who do not have a Pinterest page yet (I will be doing a training on how to utilize Pinterest for your business & lifestyle later on)

The Pinterest account I helped set up below was my sisters business (now her old one).

1.     Once you are on the Pinterest website, set up your account with your name NOT your business name.

2. I recommend having a personal page as well as a business page, as your biz & personal life could be very different, but not only this, your dream audience may not be interested in what colour you want to decorate your apartment or seeing your snack inspiration hahahaha. If you would like to create a business page on top of a personal page, click the drop-down in the right-hand corner and select Create a Business Page – You will need the specific business page to see insights, which is key to your business growth.

3.  Enter your details, including the focus of your brand which is your goal. Choose from selling more products, generate more leads for your business, drive traffic to your site, create content on your Pinterest to grow an audience or grow brand awareness. If you’re not sure about your goal yet, just click generate more leads for your business, as this is what you’d always want to do anyway.

4.     Out of the 3 options available, click showcase your brand.

5.     You’ll see in the top right-hand drop-down that you’ll have your personal profile & then off to the right of your business profile. Click on the appropriate one to set up.

6. On your business page click EDIT profile, you’ll also see the lil pencil sign everywhere, this is also where you edit.

7.     Enter your username, which I would put as your business name if it’s available.

8.     Enter ABOUT your profile, then save.

9.     If you click your photo in the top right corner it will take you to your page, this is what others see of your account.

10. Here add a cover photo.

11.     Whilst you’re in EDIT PROFILE, click CLAIM, & connect any accounts you have in the list. It’s also good to connect your website with your account because then you’ll get insights on who clicks through to your website from Pinterest.

And now you’re ready to start building boards, and PINNING!

*P.S. I highly recommend adding the 2 step verification, from somebody who has had major troubles with their security before, it’s one of the first things I ALWAYS set up now.
If there is a point I am missing on here or if you are struggling to find how to do anything, message me & I will tell you how & also add it to this How-To so it can benefit others.
