Create a FB group

HOW TO

“Bring your community together”

Having a FB group is a great way to bring a community together. On insta, it’s very much 1-1 therefore to create a community of women who all chat to one another, support, network, etc you need a FB group. plus, it’s FREE!

To link a group with your Facebook business page.

 1.     Go on your business page

2.     Click more

3.     Click Groups

4.     Click Linked Groups – This group will be linked to your business page, not your personal page. (if you wish to do this, do the steps on how to start a FB page and select Groups instead of Pages)

5.     Create a name – You want this to be different, but not too different to your business name, examples can be your business name and then community, private group, insiders, exclusive

6.     Decide whether you want it public or private – This all depends on what your group is for. If you want to be specific to your target audience or a specific niche then have it on private, that way, not every Tom, Dick, and Harry can join.

7.     I would always select Visible here as you want your page to pop up on your target audience’s newsfeeds unless of course you want it very private and invite-only.

8. Upload a cover photo. The size needed is 851x315 pixels.

9.     On the Manage Group section on the left-hand side, scroll down to Membership Questions – This section is important and not just something to be looked over, it’s a great way to get some market research in. You can only add 3 questions, so make sure they are specific, that they are important enough to you that you can use the answers to better your business.

10.     When your group gets busy enough, you can add in Post Topics, so that people can search through all the posts and find what they are looking for.

11.     Group Rules – I would always set some, FB even has their own which are also really good to use.

12.     Click Settings – Edit the web address so it says your group name, group colour makes it brand on point (which is always a bonus), and here is where you can add your collaborator or virtual assistant to manage your group for you.

Now you can start inviting members, & directing your dream audience here via your CTA ;) !
